Dental X-Ray
A dental X-ray, or radiograph, is a diagnostic tool that uses low-dose radiation to produce images of the inside of your mouth, revealing hidden dental problems such as cavities, bone loss, impacted teeth, and tumors that are not visible during a regular dental exam. Dentists use these images to diagnose issues, track tooth development, plan treatments like fillings or implants, and assess overall oral health. Dental X-rays are considered safe due to the minimal radiation exposure, but pregnant individuals should inform their dentist as a precaution.
