Disimpaction

Disimpaction refers to the medical removal of something that is stuck or impacted, such as an impacted tooth or a hardened fecal impaction. Dental disimpaction involves surgically removing an unerupted tooth lodged in the jawbone, while manual or digital disimpaction is a procedure to remove impacted feces from the rectum using a lubricated finger. Oral disimpaction can also refer to the use of macrogol sachets to treat severe constipation by softening and flushing out hardened stool.
